In 1993, I helped transfer material from the Dight Institute at University of Minnesota to the American Philosophical Society Library. We were moving material into permanent deposit for access by researchers far into the future. When the move was complete, I wrote a piece with one of my fellow PhD students about the records included in the transfer. This appeared in The Mendel Newsletter, a publication of the American Philosophical Society Library promoting awareness of archival resources for the history of genetics and allied sciences. This issue has become hard to find. As a result, I am reproducing here the piece we wrote.

I realise we misspelled the ERO, it is “Eugenics Record Office” not “Records”.
